Message from Claudia Christian about the Sinclair Method and Naltrexone

Claudia Christian  (Commander Susan Ivanova on the science fiction television series Babylon 5) has been doing a lot recently to raise awareness of the Sinclair Method using Naltrexone to help people beat alcohol addiction problems. Here is her testimonial page http://www.cthreefoundation.org/testimonials.html#.VLbTl_63KgZ

One of the reasons I became more interested in the “Sinclair Method”, was after watching the film, presented by Claudia Christian called “One Little Pill”. It really explained how the “Sinclair method” works, and why it would suit so many people, including those who have struggled with other methods.

Claudia sent me an email today about how the Sinclair Method (TSM) has helped her:

“I have used TSM since 2009, after years of struggling to stay sober, falling off the wagon then binging …I was at the end of my rope. I ordered Naltrexone (the drug we use for TSM in the USA) and read Dr. Roy Eskapa’s excellent book “The Cure for Alcoholism” and within a few drinking sessions I felt like myself again. I felt a distance from alcohol, I had no cravings and no compulsive thoughts about alcohol at all. Now, six years later, I am able to have a drink if I wish to but am sober the majority of the time. You can use TSM to achieve sobriety or to get your drinking down to safe levels,  you can use it in combination with therapy, moderation management or any treatment you wish to utilize, the difference being that you will not have to “white knuckle” your way through abstinence since the cravings disappear with TSM. Pharmacological extinction saved my life and gave me the freedom to choose how to treat my AUD, I am forever grateful to Dr. David Sinclair and Dr. Roy Eskapa. In 2013 I started my non profit to help people find out more about TSM: www.cthreefoundation.org. I also wrote a book about it: Babylon Confidential” and made a documentary about TSM and some of the people I encouraged to go on it “one Little Pill”….. all are very informative. I wish all of you luck in finding the right treatment for you and I encourage you to investigate TSM.”

The Sinclair Method

In the past couple of months I have put a few posts on the site about Naltrexone and the Sinclair Method as I wish to publicise the help that it can give to people who are struggling with cravings and the really difficult part of cutting down their alcohol use. I do not feel this method gets as much publicity as it should, considering the potential it has to help people and there is also some very inaccurate reporting about how Naltraxone should be used, and who will benefit from it.

  3. Claudia,
Thank you for your excellent website and videos, etc.
We have emailed before so I hope you remember me.

    My issues are:
once I have that first beer in the morning, hungover drink, I always want more. By then it is too late to take Naltrexone. I don’t have the necessary time before having that first or second one.
Also, I love beer and therefore continue drinking even while preparing a super good meal. Then I loose my appetite…very common. This meal usually goes in the refrigerator until I get really hungry the next day (or if I wake up in the middle of a drunken sleep) then eat, which means there isn’t going to be restful sleep.
Sooo, have you ever had this issue?
Can it be taken once I remember?
There is also the issue of “habitual” drinking because you like the taste, you do it the same as drinking water or whatever non alcoholic drink you have.
You didn’t mention in your TED film anything about …
I am finding lots of great videos on the net but haven’t had much success finding out how to unlike taste.

    Thanks in advance,
    Tim
